Attack of the Christmas Cookies!

Nana (my mom's mom) left today to head back down to Arizona, where here house is and where she lives for half of the year (she prefers to be there during the winter months since it is warmer than Utah). Anyway, she had quite the little list prepared of things that she wanted/needed done before she left. Since she can only do so much on her own (a trip to Walmart often is enough to tire her out), most of the list fell to my mom and me to complete. I was in charge of the Christmas cookies (cook them now, freeze them, pull them out when it's Christmastime - makes it really easy!), taking Nana to a couple of store to buy my mom's Christmas and birthday gifts, and just other little odds and ends.

I was told I was needing to have all this done by today (Saturday) about a week ago.

Four different types of cookies.

It was a little daunting, especially since I still had Wesley to watch (and he is quite the active almost 10 month old) and my own list of things that needed to be done.

So I made the list of stuff we needed to buy and got ready to do the shopping.

Then Mindy, my little sister, called. She also wanted cookies. Luckily, one of the two she wanted was already on the list. All I had to do with that was add another batch. However, the other cookie that she wanted wasn't on the list.

Now my cookie list was up to five.

It looked something like this:
Peanut Butter Blossoms x4
Russian Tea Cakes x3
Pumpkin Cookies x2
Gingersnaps x4
Magic cookie bars x2

Just a little cookie list.

To make a long story short, I got them all done. 15 batches of cookies in 3 days. The freezer now has several freezer bags full of cookies.

Funny thing is, there are still at least three other types of Christmas cookies/goodies that need to be done. And at least double batches of each.

At least they are yummy!

MADE - You need to check it out!

In my search for new ideas of things to do for my Etsy shop, I stumbled across this blog.

To put it simply, MADE is simply amazing. Dana is an excellent blogger and a great crafter. I love her cute ideas and tutorials- of which she has a lot! Her tutorials are excellent and easy to understand. I mean, how cute is this beach towel dress?

She also has patterns that you can purchase. I'm particular to the can-can skirt.

I also love how she gives tips - such as the importance of labels (I'm actually working on creating my own labels because of what she said). And then, on top of everything else, she is a published author! I mean, the gal is over the top!

So go over and check it out! You won't regret it!

A Welcome, a Sneak Peek, and a Contest!

In Welcome one and all, to my blog!

First off, a little introduction. I am a mother (to an adorable little boy) and an avid crafter (not to mention reader, gamer, builder - of nearly anything, and pretty decent mechanic.) Oh, I'm also pretty random, as some of the posts that will show up here will undoubtedly show. I have what I call my "Random bank of Random Knowledge"...but I digress.

Here I will post sneak peeks at what I am working on for my Esty shop (there's lot of cute things coming!), coupon codes for the aforementioned shop, projects that I have stumbled across (a lot of the times on Pintrest - gotta love that site. Did I mention I am a Pintrest pinner? The boards are steadily growing...but I digress yet again), other crafter's blogs, and any other little things related to crafting that I come across.

So to start the official release of my blog, here is a little sneak peek at some things that are in the works!

Dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna dunna, BATMAN!

Ahhh, nothing like superhero songs. And these are just the first of several designs!

Make sure to stay tuned for the big reveal of the entire thing!

So we've done the welcome, the sneak peek - now on to the contest!

Adorable, no? (This cute little model is not my son - I have yet to do a professional shoot with him.)

Here's the contest:

1. Follow Little Tiny Fingers and Little Tiny Toes on Facebook.
Here's the link --->

2. Go to my Etsy shop and pick one of your favorite items under $40
Here's the link --->

3. Leave a comment on the Facebook page (see link in #1) saying which is your favorite item!

On October 1st (why? Because I love October!) I will randomly choose from those who have commented one lucky person who will win the item that was their favorite for freeeeee! (Sorry, thinking of Lord of the Rings and Smeagol when he finally gets Gollum to go away...gah! Did I mention I digress a lot?)

***BONUS ENTRY***

If you tell your friends about this contest and they come by and enter (making sure to say who sent them this way), you will get another entry! And those entries can stack! So if you tell five people and all five come and enter, mentioning that you sent them, then you get five extra entries!

Remember though - your friends need to mention that it was you who sent them or I won't be able to know who to give the extra entry to and it will just sit dejectedly on the sidelines. :(

Well, there you have it! A Welcome, a Sneak Peek, and a Contest! Make sure to follow me here on the blog or over on my Facebook page to stay up to date on all the fun things that are going on with the shop and the fun world of crafting that I love!

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send me an e-mail at littletinyfingersandtoes@gmail.com, convo me on my Etsy shop, or contact me via Facebook.
